I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek of this novella before Geoff made it available on the kindle. His writing style is sublime, gripping and unforgettable. Geoff is a master writer, and has an uncanny ability of being able to get inside the head of the reader. I'm anxiously awaiting his next book and I'll give this one a thumbs up for sure.
This was a refreshing read and I was particularly impressed with the outside of the box ideas of the book which are some of the better science fiction ideas I have read. The events of the book unfold very rapidly, and it has an unusual style that doesn't follow the normal heroes' journey. I got the impression there may be a sequel and I am keen to know what happens. This book is by no means perfect and I think the 2nd half is a lot better than the first, but I'm giving it 5 stars because there is nothing else like it and it has left an impact on me.
A good short read that had me wanting more. Looking forward to the sequel. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for it.
It was short and sweet and made me want more. I felt like this book could of been stretched out more but I am happy it got to the point.
With six 5 star reviews, I was expecting a lot more out of this story. The writing was flat and I never connected with the main character. I understand the author was trying for deeply philosophical twist on the standard alien "abduction" story, but it was just strange. I can't recommend it.
